Our Story
Boon Music Ltd, based in London, was created with a clear purpose: to transform the way the music industry operates and to bring fairness, transparency, and opportunity to artists and professionals worldwide.
The company's vision was shaped by the experiences of its founder, Klaus Zimmer, whose journey in music began in the 1980s. Under the guidance of Luis Otavio Braga, a respected classical guitarist and music director at UniRio, and with the mentorship of celebrated composer Nicanor Teixeira and Dr Graça Allan, Klaus developed a deep understanding of both the artistic and structural sides of the music world.
Over the years, he observed the persistent challenges and inequalities faced by musicians and industry professionals. This inspired him to explore the history of recording processes and the evolution of the music business. His research revealed a striking truth: despite remarkable technological progress throughout the 20th century, the system still lacks a truly fair exchange for artists and contributors.
In response, Boon Music was founded to be a force for change. Built on innovation and collaboration, its platform provides musicians, composers, and industry professionals with a genuine and equitable space to grow, connect, and achieve their ambitions.
